Christine Hanson was nominated by an anonymous colleague who has worked with her for the past 22 years.
Mrs. Hanson, affectionally known as "Mrs. Christine," has proven time after time that she puts her students first, giving them the opportuntity to succeed to the best of their abilities. The enviroment she creates in her classroom is one of positivity.
"Durning the time I've had the privilege of working alongside her, she has always treated me and the other paras with the utmost respect," her nominator said. "Christine has very high morals, so you will never see her having an unprofessional work ethic."
Another strong quality Mrs. Hanson possesses is her leadership at the professional level.
When it comes to changing the lives of her students, she's always willing to go beyond whats required of her as a special needs teacher. From day one, she has demonstrated what it takes for educators to show their love of teaching.
"As a 23 year old, she showed how prepared she was coming into this position," said her nominator. "Over time, I could see all the wonderful talents she had, whether it was with a new teacher, adminstration, or even our classifed employees. It's an honor for me to be able to share how lucky we are to have Christine in the district."
