Geneva Holmes was nominated by her principal, Felicia Prince.
Three years ago, two separate schools merged to one school. Prince was left to be the one and only principal, with no assistants, after only one year of experience as an administrator. It was a challenging time. Geneva Holmes stepped in as Prince's assistant principal. She has truly been a blessing to the students, teachers, and to Prince.
"We work very well together, and strive to reach the same goals. I cannot imaging not having her with me as we continue on this educational journey," Prince said.
Holmes is totally committed to students and their growth. The entire culture of her section of the school has improved to include more teacher collaboration, student-led instruction, and parental involvement.
"She is a gift to this school, and an awesome colleague," Prince said. "She has changed many lives, including mine."
