As a community advocate, Mr. Deich cultivates a warm, non-threatening environment. He engages people who are unfamiliar with the system and those who may not be particularly active. He facilitates community work and brings people together
"Randall has demonstrated the value of integrity, to work where there are no gaps between beliefs and actions. Randall’s actions have changed the lives of teachers and students," Seplin said.
Mr. Deich, has been a part of my girls life since 7th grade. He has been a teacher, a father, a mentor, and so much more for my girls, he is always willing and available to coach and guide his students into the right direction, not just regarding their education but also in real life situations. He is a great counselor and leader. It has been a privilege and great honor to be a part of his world for the past 5 years. Alyssa, Aleyna Harris and myself are eternally grateful for all the help and support he has given us.
Randee recorded a few podcasts of me reflecting upon my teaching during my first year. The positive effect this had on my teaching can never be measured, but I still think about that experience after 13 years, and I have no doubt I’m a better teacher because of it! #LCOY @rdeich
Mr.Deich is a great mentor. He goes out of his way to make sure no child is left behind. He constantly provide opportunities for students to better themselves.
20 years ago Mr. Deich was my third and fourth grade teacher. He not only taught us the curriculum but he made it fun, interesting, and engaging. We planted a class garden, made time capsules, and listened to the Beatles. We learned about friendship and celebrated progress and hard work. He is the teacher that inspired me to become a teacher. Here I am entering my seventh year teaching and he still follows me every step of the way. To say he’s a life changer is absolutely accurate. He has most definitely impacted and changed mine for the best.
Randall is definitely a LifeChanger in Broward County! As a teacher, students are always at the center of his thinking, his planning, and his actions. As a professional developer, he intently listens to both student and teacher voices, and collaborates with them to insure they are authentically engaged in their learning process. As a community leader, he connects valuable resources and builds trusting relationships to support students, teachers, schools and the community at large.
Mr.Deich is like a second father. He has been my mentor since the 7th grade. He has helped me become a strong leader and to believe in my skills as a Web Creator. He gave us his time and attention to make sure we develop a good product.
