She makes herself available to parents in the early mornings, evenings, and weekends. Karla often sacrifices much of her time to ensure each student's needs are met. She caters to each student individually, ensuring their educational needs are met and empowering them to excel at learning regardless of their disability. She is a story of perseverance, drive, and love for her students and profession. She has left her mark in schools that may not have the biggest budgets and in military communities with a wide range of children with special needs."
