Katelin Padden was nominated by a friend.
"Katelin Padden is a huge LifeChanger," said the friend. "She does so much for many people even when she doesn't have to. Katelin goes above and beyond for her students as a teacher and as someone who cares about the kids. She runs the kindness club and rocks it! She has expanded that club into something bigger than anyone ever thought it could be."
"Mrs. Padden is such a wonderful person," said the friend. "She has stepped up and helped other teachers with any issues. Katelin has sat down for hours to help them in any way possible. I'm not talking about just her team, either; I'm talking about other grade levels, as well. She is a genuinely wholesome person who will change so many lives of anyone she comes across, not only the children she teaches. It is my honor to nominate her."
I met Katelin through social media. I loved the idea of her Kindness Club so her students had opportunities to show caring for others! Getting to know her has shown me her heart for the students at her school and her coworkers as well. For example, she receives donations for a food pantry that provides nutritious options for children in need as well as small gifts and thoughtful gestures for the teachers and support staff. She even invited me in to offer teachers sweets and pampering after a stressful day of state wide testing. Many ladies took home goodie bags to enjoy later and be reminded that their work is appreciated.
I consider Katelin to be a LifeChanger in the multitude of ways she leads by example in caring for others which encourages them to do the same. Like infinite ripples in the waters of time, growing a kindness mindset in children and adults indeed changes lives and makes our world better!
You don't have to know Kate long to see how kind and influential she is, leading by example. My family and I consider ourselves blessed to have her come into our lives.
Kate is a joy to teach with. Each and every day she dedicates 100% to her students. She is a true definition of a LifeChanger. On any particular day, when you enter her classroom, it is filled with laughter, learning, and positivity! Her students are a product of what she teaches. They are motivated, high learners, and knowledge seekers !
Katelin has been such a breath of fresh air for the students of Socrum Elementary. She engages her students with exciting activities—like publishing a book of their short stories—and is met with a class of students that hunger for more.
She has created an after-school club (Kindness Trailblazers), which encourages its members—and non—to spread cheer to anyone in need of a friendly act, word, or a simple smile. Our school has been brightened by Mrs. Padden in so many ways. We are blessed to have her.

Kate is such a positive influence at Socrum Elementary. She works very hard to inspire her students to learn and grow into better, caring people. Her Kindness Club provides the members ways to make other students and teachers feel appreciated. She has reached out to the local community to provide support for the club to enable the club to do more.
Kate was awarded "Dream Team Teacher " three straight quarters last year. She is always ready to help not only her students but also other teachers at school. Kate has been a positive addition to Socrum Elementary and is always looking for more ways to be a positive influence.
Kate has found her niche in life and takes her responsibility very seriously.
The children are blessed to have her as a mentor and teacher.
