LifeChanger of the Year Nominee Profile

Dr. Carey Roybal-Benson was nominated by a colleague, Mellissa Murphy.

Dr. Roybal-Benson, also known as "Dr. RB," is a LifeChanger for students, staff, and his school community. He leads by example; bringing high expectations, an infectious positive outlook, and a wealth of knowledge to the table. Dr. RB is the kind of administrator who inspires leadership and personal growth among students and staff. He encourages ideas and actively seeks out the support needed to realize dreams. He fully commits himself to the improvement of student outcomes.

"One of my favorite qualities about Dr. RB is that he shares his talents endlessly," said Murphy. "He brings fun to education by acting as the DJ for school functions! He is a giver, a dreamer, and a get-it-doner. Dr. RB reignited my own passion for education, and for that, I will always be grateful for his mentorship."
