Ms. Watts is a passionate 8th-grade math teacher that goes beyond teaching math.  She creates an inclusive and supportive environment where students feel acknowledged and valued.  Ms. Watts often asks students about short-term and long-term future plans.  Afterward, Ms. Watts finds opportunities for students to intern with community partners in the area of their interest or she personally assists students with applying for magnet high schools to set the students on the right track.  Ms. Watts's dedication to understanding and connecting with students helps them not only excel academically but also grow personally.
