Leslie Lovell was nominated by a colleague, Elizabeth Green

"One of the most loyal teachers I have ever known to her profession is Leslie Lovell," said Green. "She is self-sacrificing and helps to take care of the media needs of an entire staff with her commitment to digital content for the CCTI. Leslie has a vision for how to make students doers. With every challenge she takes on, she involves her students. Leslie teaches them how to use media and create content while giving them a picture of how business, marketing, and finance shape the face of today's society. Through her hands-on approach, she involves students in real-world approaches to problems that have yielded skills that all students will use in the future. One of our shared students was recently added to the University of South Alabama media team because of his experience in her class."

"As a new staff member at the CCTI, Mrs. Lovell held my hand and walked me through the process of CTE education," said Green. "Even though we teach different subjects, she has taught me how to make real-world scenarios for my students that will help them not just complete an assignment but take skills throughout their lifetime. I feel that a strong teacher builds strong teachers and students around her. For me, Mrs. Lovell has done just that."
