The Flagler Palm Coast High School Transportation Department recently had a fund day planned. The event was going well, and everyone was having a good time. However, it was a bit hotter than anticipated. People soon started showing signs of heat exhaustion and the start of heat stroke. Ms. Daniels took charge and started handing out gloves full of ice to anyone who looked too hot, escorting people to a nearby air-conditioned area, and then caring for those people. "She didn't stop until long after the event was called off due to the heat," said her nominator. "I know there were others who should be recognized but she was 100% on it."
