Dylan Caruso was nominated by an anonymous student.
"I met Mr. Caruso when he became our 6-12 Supervisor of STEM," said the student. "He has a great passion for the field, especially mathematics. Every day, he would visit our class in his bright, colorful socks, ready to help us with the content and explain it to us. Outside of the classroom, he is also an inspiration to many students on the volleyball court and even just in general. He is a great person and is highly suitable for this award."
Dylan has been such a positive influence on my daughter. He pushes her to be the best on and off the volleyball court. Not only has he been an outstanding coach but also one of the best educators in our district. He is always looking for innovative ways to bring Math to life. As a supervisor he continues to strive for the same goal. His dedication and passion to bettering the students and athletes in our district makes him very deserving of this nomination. He has truly changed the lives of many of his students, athletes, and co-workers!
As I enter into my Senior year, I cannot think of anyone more deserving of the Life Changer award than Mr. Caruso.
His selflessness and dedication has created an environment where students and athletes can thrive and succeed, and his ability to connect with students on a personal level has built trust and a sense of community within his four walls.
Caruso is not only my mentor and role model, but my teacher-friend who has truly been a lifeline of strength and inspiration for me during my highschool journey, and someone who has undoubtedly left a lasting impression in my life.
Congrats Dylan! Dylan has always gone above and beyond for "his kids." His passion for what he does is truly incredible. If he is not teaching, he will be coaching volleyball or tutoring. No matter where he goes, he will get stopped by a student and it is obvious the impact he has on them! Thank you Dylan for being the best role model!
I have had the pleasure of knowing Dylan for over 30 years. As a child he was always full of life. Kind, funny a great kid. As he has grown into adulthood, his kindness and humor followed. Little did I know the impact he would make as an educator. He is an exceptional role model. His dedication to every role, teacher, coach, class advisor or friend is limitless. Dylan is a great person and I am always proud of his accomplishments. Continued blessings Dylan.

Dylan started tutoring my daughter in fourth grade for Math. She’s at Tulane University and still reaches out to him for help. He has an incredible ability to make math learnable to the mathematically challenged. He instills in his students a comfort level and confidence to succeed. He was truly life changing for my daughter.
My two sons throughout their time in the school system have always gravitated towards Dylan because he’s approachable and engaged with the student body. He’s at every event and is so invested in the experience each student has in the Secaucus School system. He is the epitome of professionalism.

I have known Dylan for 25yrs and it has been amazing to see how passionate he is at his job. All the students love him and talk very highly of him. He will do anything for his students and is always there to lend a hand. This honor is very well deserved!
Dylan has not only been a teacher and volleyball coach to my daughter, he also became a confidante. To have a teacher and coach be someone a teenager can trust means everything in the world. He has had so many roles in his students’ lives and he is beyond deserving of this!
Mr. Caruso is an educational leader in our community. Loved by students, respected by colleagues, and supported by administrators, Mr. Caruso continues to be an innovator with student success as his focus. The Secaucus School District is very fortunate to have this life changer as a member of the team!
I would love to see more teachers like Dylan, he is so open and inviting to all the students always willing to help even the students that weren't his!! He is the kind of teacher every school needs!!! He loves what he does and it shows!!
I am a parent of one of his past students. Mr. Caruso is someone everyone needs to meet. He is an inspiration to children not only at school but also outside the classroom. He has a passion to not only teach but to be an amazing mentor for our children.
His hard work and drive for success has pushed my children to follow his footsteps .

Dylan has a passion for being a supportive role model for his students and the school community. He is always there to help, guide or make you smile. Dylan is an asset to his school community and a leader in and out of the classroom.
Mr. Caruso is a magnificent educator who both of my children were lucky to have as a math teacher. He encourages and builds confidence in his students in a subject that is often very difficult. His humor and rapport with students make class fun and you will often find students excited to go to math class. When he is not in class, you can often find him coaching, attending a high school sporting event, or dedicating his time volunteering at school events. He is literally everywhere. He is truly worthy of the LifeChanger of the year nomination.
Mr. Caruso's passion for teaching and dedication to his students made a lasting impact on me during my 8th-grade math class at Secaucus Middle School. His ability to make complex concepts understandable and his unwavering support inspired me to reach for my full potential. Not only did Mr. Caruso excel in teaching math, but he also showed genuine care and concern for his students beyond the classroom. Whether it was offering a listening ear, providing guidance, or encouraging us to pursue our passions, he consistently went above and beyond to ensure our overall well-being. His compassion and dedication make him an exceptional educator and a true life changer. I am grateful to see that Mr. Caruso is now in a Supervisor role that allows him to not just further the students in the Secaucus Board of Education but also his fellow educators. He truly deserves the National Life Group Life Changer of the Year Award.
Dylan has been the best teacher/role model since the day he stepped into the role. He is patient, empathetic, and really tends to all students needs. Dylan is one of the most unselfish people I know and is one of the hardest workers. He goes above and beyond for everyone. Students truly look up to him and trust him. I have never seen a teacher and his students have a bond like Dylan does with his kids. It’s so special.
