Jessica Sapp was nominated by a colleague, Jacqueline Lawson.
Ms. Sapp is a professional and a leader; her actions show that she cares about her students. She's the leader of her grade level. During their planning time, she and her team are preparing teaching materials for the students. She constantly uses every moment as a teaching tool. For example, she teaches the students to respect the hallways by using their inside voice levels.
"I have also witnessed Ms. Sapp stop what she was doing to console a student that was having a rough day," said Lawson. "That was everything to me; she saw a need and addressed it. That was leadership at its best!!"
Ms. Sapp is an amazing teacher who goes way above & beyond for all of her students. She cares deeply for all of her students and the difference she has made for my daughter has been more than we could possibly thank her for. She gets her students excited about learning and gives them the confidence they need to grow.
Ms. Sapp is by far the best teacher and leader my daughter has had. She really teaches with her heart and considers each students’ well being and capabilities. She has made my daughter excited about learning, reading, and growing. Not only is she an exceptional teacher, my daughter looks up to her as a leader in the way she treats others, her kindness, her purposeful character, and much more. Having Ms. Sapp as my daughter’s fifth grade teacher has brought comfort and joy to our family— as I am confident that Ms. Sapp will treat her students as her own, and has the best communication! I wish all teachers carried her spirit of commitment, willingness, and purpose. She deserves the upmost recognition as an educator.
Ms. Sapp is simply amazing in all aspects of what a student, parent, faculty member would desire from an educator. She consistently goes beyond the requirements of an educator to truly give a student an education on how to interact in this world with compassion, kindness, without fear of failure. She embodies the one who has walked before her that invitedothers to step outside of themselves to follow him to new heights, as a whole person. She is changing lives for the better.
Ms. Sapp is an incredible teacher! She truly see's each child and connects with them to encourage and inspire them in their education. She is passionate about the work she does and uses such creative approaches that brings excitement to her lessons. Ms. Sapp goes beyond teaching the curriculum and is helping her students learn what it looks like to be kind, respectful, and responsible that will go with her students all through their lives! We are blessed to have her as one of our teachers at Ever's Park!
Ms. Sapp has given my 5th grader a love for reading. She has shown patience and strong knowledge and true understanding of what it means to be a teacher and all the responsibility and trust that goes with it. My 5th grader strongly disliked school, but Ms. Sapp has been a huge helping hand in his support system, he admires her dedication to her students, and how she is able to keep a professional balance but still be able to communicate with them on a level they will remember the rest of their lives. Truly making a difference in my child's life that he'll remember forever.
Ms Sapp is one of the most intentional educators I have ever met. She goes well out of her way on a regular basis to ensure students and families have everything they need to be successful, not just in the classroom, but in life. She’s just stellar and deserves all of the positive recognition.

Ms. Sapp goes above and beyond for each student. She truly loves what she does. I've never seen another teacher so involved and interested in each students well being. It's so important and we should all strive to be a teacher like Ms.Sapp. She's such an asset to Evers Elementary. We've been so blessed she taught our son, in 4th and now 5th. That is true dedication to see the work through. She is preparing them for middle school now,and she's preparing them to be better humans along the way. She is the best communicator and a truly kind human being. She worked so hard and some times ,alot of times after hours to help Evers succeed. She is so dedicated and deserving of this tremendous award.
Jessica is an outstanding leader and an amazing person. I have known her for many years and watching her blossom into the lady and teacher she is has been wonderful! She is an example to all of her students. She goes above and beyond to educate them and care for each one.

My son has been so lucky to have Ms. Sapp for both fourth grade and fifth grade. She is an incredible teacher. She is very effective, and you can tell how much she cares for the students. She is extremely passionate about teaching, and she communicates so effectively with the parents, too. She deserves any and all awards for which she is nominated!
We love Ms. Sapp! My daughter had her last year and this year and just adores her. She really cares about the student's well being and where they are emotionally as well as educationally. She is just the best and she deserves to win.

Ms. Sapp is an awesome teacher! My daughter hasn’t ever been this excited to get to school and learn to the point she will almost cry if she has to miss school! Ms. Sapp has taught my daughter so many valuable things and help her grow not only academically but has a growing girl as well! Thank you Ms. Sapp!
Definitely vote for Ms. Sapp!!! We have been so blessed to have her 2 years in a row being my Son’s Teacher. She has been instrumental in the growth of him throughout the years. She is so worthy of being praised!!!
A natural born teacher, Jessica has been teaching for many years. Daycare, churches, and now at Evers Park Elementary. How does one go from infants and toddlers to 5th grade? Ms. Sapp recognizes the need to build relationships with students, to understand each child, and meet that child where he/ she is at, in order to make learning successful. She strives to teach with the best curriculum and lesson planning, and does this with her team through vertical and horizontal collaboration. She develops partnerships within the community, and with other schools so that students have mentors.
Ms. Sapp is a life long learner who is currently a full time teacher and a full time college student. She serves as a 5th grade teacher and as a leadership intern on her campus. Jessica believes in equity, inclusion, and diversity and her game changer attitude shows this through her dedicated work on campus and in the community. If you want to find Ms. Sapp on the weekend, look on the field, in the gyms, or at the local parks; it's almost a guarantee she's watching her students play sports. She shows up, she builds relationships, she makes a true difference! She IS a game changer.
