Georgia Gaydos was nominated by an anonymous former colleague.

Ms. Gaydos is a special education teacher who works specifically with students with autism. She not only helps each and every student excel in the classroom, she also gives her students tools to continue to grow throughout their lives. She connects with all of her kids and creates a fun, safe, kind environment that is conducive to learning, even on the toughest days.

"Georgia was a first year Autism teacher in the St. Charles School District this past year," her nominator explained. "She was able to turn then AU program around into something the school never could have dreamed of. She worked well with other staff members in the building and made sure her students were treated fairly by the other students and faculty. Georgia is an amazing teacher who wouldn’t give up on even the toughest of students. She truly cares and works extremely hard to help each one of her students."
