Ms. Kennedy is an amazing teacher. She works with students who are not assigned to her during the school hours. Ms. Kennedy volunteers her time after school for the students who have difficulty understanding the concept, who needs more time to grasp the curriculum. I'm positive Andrea Kennedy is the best nominee for the Life Changer of the Year!

Andrea does life science for fun, not for work, she genuinely feeds off of studying the life cycles abundant in the Everglades. On top of that she loves being around young people and truly knows how to connect with challenging students, and channel their energy towards science. She's invigorated by figuring out a tough teaching situation, not one of those people who walks away, or seeks an easier path. Students learn this eventually, when all their tests of will fail, and they finally see she's genuinely dedicated to seeing them succeed. Then, she's got the toughest students engaged, and believing there is a place for them in the academic setting.
Andrea is such a caring person and passionate in her career!!
Your the best teacher ever and I mean it
Ms. Kennedy gave my son a passion and excitement for science. She is a huge motivator and knows how to keep her students engaged, learning and enjoying it! She also does great with keeping the parents informed and up to date. With her help, my son placed on his science fair project and went to regionals and it was the very first one he'd ever done. I can't say enough about her and her style of teaching!
She is the hardest working teacher I know. She stays after school for students to tutor them, help them with homework or if they simply want to stay and help her. She was nominated as top 5 in district as new teacher of year. Participated in NASA program with students “Grow beyond Earth” where her students grew plants in a “space” environment (special garden case provided by NASA) they collected and submitted data to NASA. One of her Students made it to district science fair. Wrote and earned a grant for 1k oF science materials and dispersed the donation to entire science team without hesitation. The “go to” teacher you can rely on for anything- when you ask her for any favor to help you- you don’t worry once. True team player in every aspect. She has only taught 1 full year and has already stepped up to the plate to become co dept science chair, science fair coordinator and secme club coordinator for next year. Planned a great Interactive notebook with her students and implemented numerous hands on learning activities and labs. She also planned field trip for our kids to Healthy Acquatics in Boynton’s beach for Marine Science hands on experiences. Altogether- my favorite teacher- and our students would agree;)
