T-Ronn Hicks was nominated by his colleague, Jessica Denton.
Mr. Hicks is an inspiration to many students in the Lewisville ISD area. His passion for helping students can be seen in Huffines Middle School and in the community. Earlier this year, the Lewsiville community suffered a tragic accident that involved two middle school students. In response to this tragedy, Mr. Hicks met with the city engineers and agreed to place safety lights at the crosswalk.
In the meantime, while waiting for the city to put the lights in, Mr. Hicks volunteers before and after school to walk students across at the crosswalk. He also provides clothes for elementary school children in need and takes kids to the food bank to make food for the hungry. In addition, Mr. Hicks is Huffines Middle School's PTA president.
"He has an outstanding mentor program that he calls Game Changers," Denton said. "The mentor program serves diverse students in the area that prepares them to deal with daily life situations using game changer strategies."
I have known Ron for many years and he is so dedicated to the lives of our kids.

I’ve known Ronn for near 15 years and his spirit of Servant Leadership has always come through from Awana, WATCH DOGS in the schools, mission trip leader, leading disaster relief efforts for Texas and Oklahoma communities to his BADD Ministry.
He will definitely get my vote for life changer. He turns desire to serve others into action. Ronn grounds his life in understanding that he has been blessed so he can bless others.
T Ron Hicks is a man of God. He is a man that love people & cares for all children. He works with our neighborhood children, church and children out of the community. I’ve even had him over in Ft Worth ISD for our Career Day and now every year our counselor is wanting him to return. Mr. Hicks is a very special person around the metro plex. Mr. Hicks also mentors several elementary school students . He visits each school and spends time pouring into each child. He is most definitely a blessing to all he meets and serves.

Can't say much about T-Ronn? except for how great of a human being he is! Always looking out for the youth and looking to become involved in anything that create a positive impact in the community! We have been involved in a few community engagement events and I can say with confident he is in deed a life changer. I've seen him turn a whole situation around from a troubled young man. Seeing a boy go from caresless/aggresive to open up and end up taking pictures with him was a great to witness. I was able to see how his words and action can touch the right person.
Mr. Hicks is worthy of this award. Not only does he excel in the community but a mentor to many children at Church!
