Mr. Estes is passionate about the students and community of Dekalb Preparatory Academy. He makes a noticeable difference by being involved in the excitement of what goes on, in, and around DPA. Mr. Estes does the announcements at dismissal and never misses a beat! He is a leader who can always be seen walking the halls, attending class observations or monitoring student engagement.
"Mr. Estes shows that he cares for students because of his nurturing attitude," Wright said. "He will even put a bandage on a scraped knee rather than waiting for the nurse to do it. Mr. Estes even cooked for everyone at our all-staff appreciation celebration. Honestly, I've never seen a superintendent or head of school cook for us."
"Mr. Estes holds everyone to the highest ethical standards and signs off on every check/ document that leaves this building; making sure his stamp of approval is affixed," Wright concluded. "I love working here at DPA. Our school is an awesome example of diversity and inclusion because we are a family at DPA."
