Krystal Daniels was nominated by her principal, Trisha Graper.

Ms. Daniels is an amazing school counselor and an integral part of the Behavior Support Team. She currently coordinates all counseling services for students with IEPs and provides emergency support services on a daily basis. Ms. Daniels also runs counseling groups, organizes lunch club, and works with teachers to design classroom lessons. She provides staff development on prevention and early intervention strategies. 

"Ms. Daniels works hard to keep consistency for her students that need regular schedules, while understanding the emergency interventions and crises that may occur throughout the school day," Graper said. "She's well organized and provides excellent documentation of the services she provides, as well as documentation for emergency intervention. She provides clear updates and goals for IEPs and communicates well with our families."

Aside from being part of the Behavior Support Team, Ms. Daniels is also a member of the PBIS team, which supports a positive school climate. She is the lead contact for the monthly food pantry program and participates in after school events. Ms. Daniels also works with the community to bring additional programs and resources to the students and families at Betsy Ross Elementary School.
