LifeChanger of the Year Nominee Profile

Nikki Chigas was nominated by her mother, Toni Chigas.

Nikki is a dedicated mother, daughter, sister, and teacher. Her position in the Sweetwater Union High School District is part of a new program that helps students in all aspects. She is no longer in the classroom, however, she is as dedicated in this new position. 

Nikki's schedule is always changing; she even works on weekends when needed. Toni received a text from Nikki saying: "Today's schedule: worked from 7-12 pm at a Restorative Practices Mini Conference at one of the sites- my old work place (Southwest High School). It was inspiring, and I am so grateful to be able to do the work I'm doing, that on a Saturday; it isn't a chore, it's a privilege."  

"This is our daughter; a young woman we are proud to know and love," Toni Chigas said.
