Dedrian Beason was nominated by her colleague, Daphne Dixon.
Ms. Beason is a LifeChanger on a daily basis! She is a wife and mother of four beautiful children. She is well educated and uses her knowledge to encourage and mentor students of all backgrounds and circumstances. Ms. Beason addresses their emotional and academic needs in a positive and encouraging way, as she sets the standard for excellent customer service in the Guidance Department.
"Despite her heavy work load as a 12th grade guidance counselor, Ms. Beason is always approachable and ready to assist students, colleagues, and visitors," said Dixon. "She is self-motivated and takes the lead in assisting stakeholders, especially in challenging situations. Her approach and sweet disposition calms all waters, and I particularly appreciate her tireless and non-complaining spirit."
Just recently, Ms. Beason was diagnosed with breast cancer. She courageously took immediate and positive action to fight her cancer. Even under these challenging circumstances, she exhibits the highest level of attentiveness and professionalism. Her smile is extremely contagious! Her daughter, Symone Beason, attends Charles W. Flanagan High School as a senior and is a true testament to her mother's high moral and ethical standards.
