On a daily basis, Mr. Rodriguez has a positive, upbeat disposition. To students, he is the most encouraging person one could ever meet. He creates a disciplined, positive classroom atmosphere that carries over to his coaching duties. Mr. Rodriguez is a driving force behind Covington ISD's outstanding Cross Country Team, and he goes above and beyond to be here for all students and athletes. He arrives early in the mornings and stays late, and never says no to helping out a student or fellow employee. He encourages students to be all that they can be and has never said a discouraging word to anyone.
"Juaquin is a true role model for any young person and adult," said McLain. "He is a remarkable coach and teacher, and I believe our school district is truly blessed to have him."
