Ms. Fillbrandt has been a leader in the mathematics learning community for many years. She is selflessly dedicated to providing the very best of herself to the students and teachers with whom she works. Ms. Fillbrandt delivers a great number of professional learning sessions for teachers and small group learning sessions for students.
When teachers have questions, they turn to Ms. Fillbrandt for answers. She is always willing to help guide folks in the right direction. She creates lessons, assessments and a multitude of resources for teachers to utilize to enrich the learning of mathematics in the classroom. Ms. Fillbrandt is known for the time she dedicates to her students and will often tutor students during her personal time.
When students are with her, she makes them feel like the impossible is possible. She gets them to believe in themselves and in learning. Ms. Fillbrandt serves a great number of teachers across her district year after year. Teachers love and respect her as an educator and colleague.

Lori Fillbrandt is one Math Specialist that is not only very knowledgeable but supportive of teachers, instructional coaches and students. She goes above and beyond what is assigned of her. She makes Math fun, engaging and manageable for all learners. She is definitely an asset to Galena Park ISD.

Ms. Fillbrandt is an amazing math leader. She always finds time to reach out to us (her math teachers) on how she can be of help in our classroom for the success of our students. Ms. Fillbrandt established an excellent rapport to all the elementary math and science teachers across the district. She knows each one of us by name and the grade level we teach, no wonder that she is so appreciated and well loved by everyone. Years ago, she visits my class to model lessons and selflessly shared her math expertise especially how to effectively teach math to our students. Students on our campus are always excited to work with her, she makes math fun and interesting for our kids. Our district is so blessed to have a devoted leader like Ms. Fillbrandt, she is one of a kind!

I began my teaching career on a team with Mrs. Filbrandt and taught with her for three years. I learned so much from her about how to support students and help them understand their own learning. She built so much self-confidence in her students then, so one can only imagine what an impact she has made on both students and teachers over the years. She is a true servant of the community and has changed many lives of those who have in turn changed the lives of others.

Lori is a dedicated educator. I really appreciate all the help she has given me this year. I was assigned to a new grade level and was teaching math again for the first time in years. Lori provided me with ideas, materials, and in some cases entire weeks' worth of lessons. Her sense of humor in teaching teachers is also greatly appreciated. Lori Fillbrandt is an excellent educator, not only of students but of teachers as well. When I returned to teaching, Lori would come to my classroom and coach me on how to demonstrate Math concepts to students. She always made Math seem effortless and exciting to my students. She taught me strategies that I still use today. When I became a CIC, she walked me through my 1st year of coaching. She was always willing to support and help me throughout the year.
