Danielle Perez was nominated by her colleague, Melanie Tiemann.

Since moving into the assistant director position at The Goddard School, Ms. Perez has been a ray of sunshine. She started her journey as a floating teacher and then became an assistant infant teacher. After receiving her CDA, she became a lead teacher in the "First Steps" classroom and was shortly promoted to operations manager.

Ms. Perez has since been promoted again to be the assistant director. As the assistant director, she has increased enrollment, developed a creative schedule, and maintained her professional attitude. She also has the ability to remain calm, no matter the situation. Ms. Perez has helped organize and execute countless community outreach events such as book drives for local children's hospitals. She has visited local elementary schools and participated in their charitable events to help raise awareness for various causes.

She leads by example and always ensures that the staff and students are treated with respect. Ms. Perez creates a nurturing and caring environment for all families, staff and students.

"She has an amazing connection with all the students in our school, and the staff have the upmost respect for her," Tiemann said. "Ms. Perez is honest and kind and believes that education at an early age is crucial to the academic success of students."
