Misty Williamson was nominated by her colleague, Melanie Tiemann.

As the director of The Goddard School in Pflugerville, Misty Williamson demonstrates leadership skills on a daily basis. She ensures that everyone's day runs smoothly and that the school runs efficiently. She has created an outdoor classroom made out of recycled material, to help raise awareness about the environment among students.

"Misty is always positive and caring with children," Tiemann said. "She has positive relationships with each and every family that we have enrolled in this school, as well as with families that have already graduated from the program. Her morals and standards are top notch, and she expects her staff to be the same. She is committed to providing a nurturing atmosphere for all students and teachers and shows by example. Her professional attitude and demeanor is an inspiration to her staff, and something we all strive to imitate."

Since Ms. Williamson has taken over as director, her school has become even more successful. The teachers are held to high standards, and Ms. Williamson strives to uphold that standard of excellence. She has created several community outreach programs and organizes many charitable events. Her school hosts a yearly Art Gala where the students and teachers make art that is sold and auctioned off. All proceeds go to the Ronald McDonald House. She also donates books to the local children's hospitals and has created a lending library at the Goddard School that has been a huge success.

"Misty feels there is no greater gift than the gift of knowledge, and it is evident in her daily activities," Tiemann said.
