LifeChanger of the Year Nominee Profile

Suzanne Dixon was nominated by her colleague, Emmi Novotorov.

Ms. Dixon has proven her ability to make a beneficial difference in the lives of students and teachers for many years. Her ability to positively add to the development of her school's atmosphere is apparent in her many roles. She is a member of Local Case Management and the Sunshine Committee, and she serves as a Leader In Me Trainer and an Art Committee Leader. She has also been a Literacy Specialist, PTA Representative and Community Council Representative.

In these roles, she demonstrates leadership within her school and district. Ms. Dixon has developed her love for learning not only for her students, but for herself, as well. She has earned two Masters' degrees and has a record of excellent performance at the professional level; always going to work prepared. Her commitment to producing a nurturing atmosphere is evident in everything she does.

"Her classroom is immaculate, and her students' work shows her dedication as a person to her profession and her students," Novotorov said. "Year after year, her adherence to high moral and ethical standards is evident. She has been a highly effective and respected teacher for 22 years.
