Cindi Bergman was nominated by her colleague, Emmi Novotorov.

Ms. Bergman makes a difference in the lives of students in her class and in the school. She has the ability to positively add to the development of her school's atmosphere by contributing to her school's 'Leader In Me' monthly family newsletters. She also trains staff on the program itself. 

"She trained me this year, and her dedication and experience shined through week after week," Novotorov said. "Her leadership within the school is displayed through the way she mentors new teachers and being a respected teacher."

Every Friday, Ms. Bergman can be found wearing a cool hat, glasses or an accessory as she welcomes her students into her classroom.

"At faculty meetings, she has a positive influence on what is happening and is always around to help," Novotorov said. "Her adherence to high moral and ethical standards are shown everyday as she is a perfect example of a teacher!"

I have been teaching with Cindi Bergman for the past five years. She has a passion for working with children. Her dedication to helping these students succeed is an inspiration to me. Cindi often gives up her recess break to help students with their work. I have seen her volunteering her time to give private math tutoring sessions after school. I am impressed by Cindi’s creative methods to engage her students. Her students know she cares about them and wants them to succeed. She welcomes her students at the door each morning and dismisses them with a high five at the end of each day. Cindi Bergman is a team player and goes the extra mile to help students and teachers at our school. She gives motivational leadership lessons in staff meetings, and spends her own time helping with our school leadership program. Cindi is a great example to me. I believe she is a life changer for her students and colleagues.

Cindi Bergman is the consummate teacher. She has the right blend of caring and whip-cracking to get the best out of her students. They know she has high expectations and they respond well because they know she wants what is best for them. Cindi's influence reaches beyond her classroom as she takes the time to build and lift colleagues from custodian to tutors to teammates. She is a ray of sunshine that brightens everyone's day.

Cindi is AMAZING! She is a great role model to her students and co-workers. She takes the Leader In Me that our school does seriously and does a great job organizing activities and monthly letters. She is a dedicated teacher and it shows through her students!
