LifeChanger of the Year Nominee Profile

Dr. Anabell Deleon was nominated by a colleague who wished to remain anonymous.

Dr. Deleon is a true example of perseverance and commitment, not only to her profession, but more importantly, to her students. She has been part of the San Benito School District for the past eight years. Dr. Deleon's not only committed to her students, but she strives every day to make sure that her students are well equipped to face the real world. She's not only an instructor, but a board member of HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America), and she loves to help her community and share that love with her students. Her expectations for herself are the same as what she expects out of her students.

"I have seen Dr. Deleon staying late after school hours making sure that her assignments are prepared for the next day, making calls to parents regarding the child's progress/regression in schoolwork, and providing the best tools available to students for them to maximize their learning abilities," the nominator said. "I truly admire Dr. Deleon's committment."
