Judy Lang was nominated by Teresa Brazell, the parent of a student.

Mrs. Lang teaches college-level science at Gray Collegiate Academy. She has encouraged high school students to step up to the challenge of dual enrollment college courses. Even though these courses are very challenging, she always encourages students to believe in themselves. She has even encouraged some of these students to pursue a career in the science field.

Mrs. Lang is a leader to her fellow teachers, as well. The end-of-course test scores have sky rocketed since she has been teaching these classes, and the students are flourishing.

"Gray Collegiate Academy is a new charter school, but with Mrs. Lang, our classes are drawing the interest of students from many different areas," Brazell said. "She is always encouraging, yet challenging our students. She's not only teaching, but helping to organize our Miss War Eagle pageant this year. We love Mrs. Lang!"

Mrs. Lang is an amazing teacher and friend. She and I work side-by-side daily on various events for our school and the passion she shows in and out of the classroom for the students is unmatched. She gives her students knowledge they carry into the real world through her hands-on experience and hours of one-on-one tutoring. She Is a life changer!

Her students don't take state end of course tests. The scores have nothing to do with her since the students would have taken them before taking Mrs. Lang's class.
