Stephanie Cook was nominated by a colleague who wished to remain anonymous.
Ms. Cook is a tremendous asset to her school. She's not only excellent in her role as Administrative Assistant, but in the role she performs outside the scope of her duties. In her years at the school, she frequently assists in providing meals for families at Thanksgiving, as well as gifts for those in need at Christmas. The nominator has also witnessed her work with some of the at-risk students on a daily basis.
The school uses a clip system for positive behavior. Many students will "retire" their clip to Ms. Cook because she is kind and has a positive impact on the school climate. She becomes involved in plans to get kids to want to come to school and to keep them in class. She also builds incentives to eat lunch with them. Ms. Cook provides support when they need someone to talk with throughout the day.
Time is limited in any school day, but Ms. Cook is a LifeChanger because she gives up her time to help young children who sometimes just need time with an adult. She gives them her time so that their time at school is more productive. She encourages them to keep trying to be better today than they were yesterday. In short, Ms. Cook makes their future brighter.
Mrs. Cook is such an asset to our school. We greatly appreciate everything she does for both students and staff. We are lucky to have her!
I have known Stephanie for well over 20 yrs. She has always had a huge heart for kids. Stephanie would show her love and compassion for others no matter where she is. Hale Rd is lucky to have her.

Mrs. Cook goes above and beyond what she is paid to do or what is in her job description. Our school truly wouldn't be as great as it is without her. She sincerely cares about each and every student, parent, and staff member. I am very grateful to have Mrs. Cook as a part of our school!

Mrs Cook , where to even begin, she seems to know what you need before you or the student even speak. She guides whoever she is working with through the task quickly and effortlessly. A true multi-tasker she mans the office front desk, answers the phone, mans the door buzzers, performs duties as the principals secretary, answers questions for school volunteers or visitors, guides the students, assists with the office equipment like a copier jam or laminator training, the list could go on and on. She is like Mom for the school, she knows where the missing sock is LOL And she does all of it with a calm and pleasant demeanor even on the busiest and craziest days. She is amazing and I don’t know what we would do without her.

During the last couple years I've spent working at Hale Road, Mrs. Cook is a core asset the school relies on to help keep things in order and make things function every day. Her interactions with parents and families is always kind and cheerful, and her dedication to help both staff and students with whatever needs they have carries out with a powerful drive to do her best in any way possible. To say that she goes above and beyond is an understatement because her work ethics being called that defines her at a minimum. She keeps everything organized, handles multiple tasks like nothing, and is a true LifeChanger to everyone around her with her kind, loving, and persevering nature.
Ms. Cooke is kind and helpful... not only to the children but the families as well. She goes above and beyond in every aspect of her job; she makes a tough job look effortless and always does it with a smile.
Mrs. Cook is an excellent asset to our school. She is an integral part of our school. She goes out of her way daily to help students, staff and parents. We rely on her to assist with anything and everything that comes to our school office.
As my son will be starting his last year of school next school year, Mrs. Cook is not only a positive influence with the students, she is also wonderful with the parents! She has always taken immediate action contacting me when on occasion my son didn't show up at Latchkey because he went home on the bus. :) I volunteer quite a bit with PTO and Mrs. Cook is always helping me collect forms, responding to countless emails and anything else I ask, as I cannot always make it up to school. She is one of the first people you will meet when registering a Kindergartner and her professionalism makes you realize your child will be safe and well taken for at Hale! She is an ultimate LifeChanger and so glad she has been a part of our experience at Hale Road!
Mrs. Cook spends time with the children in the school above and beyond the work she does in the office. Many times she accepted students from my room and she gave them encouraging words and helped them to see a better way to make choices and change their day. Thank you, Mrs. Cook! You change the lives of student every day with your love and compassion.
