If you work in any school district, you understand and recognize the value of a great administrative assistant. You also know that most everything runs smoothly because of their dedication and devotion to excellence and perfection. Marcy DeKett's commitment to Mason Public Schools is unparalleled. She gives 100% every day in her behind the scenes style. She organizes all of the financial records for her school's numerous internal accounts, develops communication with parents & students, and maintains the school website and social media sites. Additionally, she organizes all senior events including the senior party, commencement, and senior scholarship night, and orders all of her school's supplies. This list certainly does not encompass all Ms. DeKett does for the school, but it does show how integral her role is to the functionality of Mason High School.

The nominator states that when they interact with Ms. DeKett, they see a person who is willing to give her time and talent, no matter the circumstance. She wants the best for students, for staff, and for her community, and she exemplifies this daily.  Her smile, kind-hearted nature, and easy-going personality makes for a positive working atmosphere. You never walk away feeling unappreciated.
