Samantha Doyle was nominated by a colleague who wishes to remain anonymous.

As a special education teacher in Northfield, Mrs. Doyle’s classroom allows her students to gain confidence while achieving success. She has dedicated her life to helping children. Her kind and nurturing ways make her students feel safe, comfortable and cared for. She regularly spends a great deal of time before and after her assigned hours, working to find or create materials that will motivate her learners.

In addition to her excellence in the classroom, Mrs. Doyle is actively involved in the Fresh Air Fund. This program allows children, who would not normally have the opportunity, to leave the city during the summer to expose them to different experiences. Mrs. Doyle not only serves as an active member of the Fresh Air Fund but brings the children into her home as well.

"She is an extraordinary example of someone who cares and is passionate about creating a better future for our children," the nominator said.

Samantha is my daughter so I’m prejudiced. Having said that however, I must also say that Sam has always gone the extra mile and far exceeds my expectations of normal decency. She has always put herself out there especially when it comes to children. I love my daughter as naturally, I love all my children and grandchildren. But Sam holds a special place in my heart for being the incredible human being she is. I could not be more proud of her! I truly believe that any child in her care will surely have a positive experience.

Mrs. Doyle is a special educator who always puts her student's needs first. Sam is conscientious and caring with each child she teaches, always knowing how to bring out their best. Congratulations, Sam !
