Linda Deady was nominated by her principal, Karen Guenette.

For the past two years, Linda Deady has made a tremendous transformation as the Academic Coordinator/Data Analyst at Old Colony RVTHS. It was a new position that Guenette and the superintendent created. Prior to Ms. Deady's arrival, the academic teachers had no "go-to" person, other than Guenette, who often was tied up with the day-to-day operations of running the school. When Ms. Deady was hired, she immediately got to know the staff and students by visiting classrooms and making department appointments to get a handle on where Old Colony was within their curriculum development, delivery, and assessment.

Ms. Deady truly believes in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) within her school, and two years later, the morale of the academic staff has become positive and supportive of each other. Additionally, Old Colony did not have a person or method in which to capture data and analyze it for common assessments and state tests that are aligned to the curriculum. Ms. Deady has also become responsible for the SIMS, EPIMS, and Discipline data reports that are submitted to the state. She works diligently as Old Colony's liaison between their software management company support and the MA Department of Education. 

Ms. Deady is a master scheduler who has taken on the challenge of making a high-school schedule work. She follows the teacher contractual guidelines, while satisfying student, teacher, and parent requests based on students' abilities and recommendations. In just two short years, she has offered choices and alternative pathways for students who are looking for a different option.

"It is my opinion that Linda is a true educational leader and well-respected, hard-working administrator in our high school," Guenette said. "Linda is consistent, fair, and goes above and beyond her employment duties on a daily basis."
