Michelle Potter was nominated by a colleague who wishes to remain anonymous. 

Ms. Potter has been a teacher for over 20 years, and has always puts her students first. She is compassionate about her students and is tough on them because she sees potential in each of them. Ms. Potter and her nominator shared a student who is a now a productive citizen in the community.

"Sometimes, special education teachers are not complimented enough on their efforts, so I would like to nominate her for all her hard work with her special education students," the nominator said. "Michelle is also an aspiring writer. Thank you, Michelle for all that you do for special education kids."

She's an awesome life skills teacher. She deals with students who have special needs and does a wonderful job with them. Always fun to be around.

Michelle is such an amazing teacher and friend. She has worked non stop and poured her heart into the Special Olympics. She is such a role model for children of all ages. She has worked non stop for children with special needs and takes the time to help each and every child. She never stops. She deserves to be Lifechanger of the Year. She’s the best!

Michelle is a teacher that goes beyond and above her classroom duties. She followed her students in their outside activities and also follows them as they move up to new grades and teachers. She is an exceptional teacher!
